Prime Minister Florin Cîțu announced on Thursday that the legislative project that will lead to the creation of a new state-owned bank, the National Development Bank, is in the process of approval.
The Prime Minister also said that the new Minister of Finance, Dan Vîlceanu, will have to organize a working group to find solutions for the other state-owned financial companies (CEC and Eximbank – editor’s note), given that the new bank “will take over many of the tasks of these institutions”.
Romania has pledged to its European partners that it will set up the National Development Bank, a bank that will finance projects carried out with European funds.
