Dacia will deliver some cars without a navigation system, due to the global lack of semiconductors

Like other manufacturers, Dacia is currently facing a global shortage of semiconductors, which mainly affects its SUV, Dacia Duster. After an initial blockage, the manufacturer finally decided to deliver the vehicles to its customers without navigation systems, writes the French press.

Dacia thus faces difficulties in providing multimedia systems, for the limited series of 15 years and Prestige equipment.

According to the French press, the manufacturer acknowledges that deliveries are not regular. However, Dacia has chosen not to stop production, especially since the restyled version of Duster, presented on June 22, will be available to order in early July and then marketed in September.

While dealers are currently instructed to lock vehicles before delivery, Dacia will allow dealers to deliver them. As a result, customers will be able to take possession of their vehicle… but without the navigation system. Dealers will receive and later assemble this equipment. On the other hand, no deadline has been announced for this.

Dacia is not the only car brand that has decided to deliver incomplete cars due to the semiconductor crisis. Other car manufacturers have taken similar measures.
