The Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR) announced on Tuesday that it will extend until July 5, 2021, at 16.00, the deadline for submitting applications for sub-measure 6.1, through which young farmers in the diaspora can apply for non-reimbursable funds of 20 million euros, News reports .ro.
So far, 172 projects worth 6.9 million euros have been submitted. Until the project submission threshold is reached, funds worth 23 million euros are still available.
The PNDR 2020 program for the installation of young farmers is 100% non-reimbursable, amounting to 40,000 euros or 50,000 euros, depending on the size of the agricultural business (the size can be calculated by the new application made available to the public webpage of AFIR).
The financing is granted to young farmers in the form of a lump sum in two tranches: 75% of the amount of support for signing the financing contract and 25% of the amount of support depending on the correct implementation of the business plan, not exceeding three years (five years for farms fruit) from the signing of the financing contract.
The granting of support will be proportional to the degree of fulfillment of the Business Plan.
