Citizens cannot pay taxes at ANAF and town hall counters for the next 30 days if they do not have a green certificate proving vaccination or Covid-19 testing, DSU chief Raed Arafat announced Monday. These citizens will either have to pay their taxes online at ghiseul.ro or wait.

Asked if people who want to pay their taxes will be able to enter without a green certificate at ANAF or the town halls, Arafat replied, “Paying taxes I don’t think so. They will still have to either pay online or wait”.

“All these duties, all these taxes are accessible… there is ghiseul.ro and there you find how to pay them,” he said.

He said that citizens will be able to enter the offices of institutions without a green certificate only to collect social benefits, i.e. pensions or various social benefits.

“At the moment we are only talking about social benefits, i.e. to collect pensions, to collect anything. But not to go in and pay other things. On any stuff we can find 100 necessary exceptions. We will not apply those exceptions now,” he said.

The measures are planned for the next 30 days, the DSU chief said.

In the case of non-digitalized institutions, where payment of fees and taxes cannot be done online, Arafat said that “at this point all institutions that are collecting taxes will know what the situation is”.

Asked if there was any question of deferring taxes, he said, “This needs to be discussed at ANAF level”.

Unvaccinated forbidden at malls and hotels

In shopping malls it is compulsory to have a Green Certificate of vaccination or a proof of pass through illness.

It will be possible to enter a vaccination center in malls if they have public administrative services, such as passports. One can enter with valid test and proof of appointment.

In all non-food shops you can only enter with a Green Certificate.

Accommodation in hotels and hostels will only be allowed for people who have been vaccinated or who have passed through the disease.

Private schools: their closure was foreseen in the CNSU decision, it was not translated into the Government decision. Today’s ruling states that physically attended activities are suspended in private schools, but no one is preventing them from doing school online.

Markets are mask only, no green certificate required.

You can’t get on a plane if you don’t have the Green Certificate.
